A radio documentary about the history of Japanese war brides has won a Bronze award at the New York Festivals Radio Award 2025.
My Grandmother is a Japanese War Bride, first broadcast/podcast by ABC Radio National is produced by Nikkei Australia member Masako Fukui, and features granddaughters Alli Parker, Anna Wilkinson, and Elysha Rei, also Nikkei Australia members.
The story won the Bronze trophy in the Documentary/History category of this year’s international competition.
