Published in March 2014 and the faction, novel based on a true story about Takeshi & Rose Inagaki is written in Japanese.   Takeshi began teaching the Japanese language at The University of Melbourne in 1919 during the Meiji period but…

日本では国を挙げて西洋文化を摂取するのに懸命だったと思われる明治の時代に、オーストラリアのメルボルンで日本語教育に献身した日本人がいた。その人の名は稲垣蒙志。稲垣がメルボルン大学で日本語を教え始めたのが、1919年。しかし、国際交流基金の記録を見ると、メルボルン大学で日本語を教え始めたのは1965年となっている。彼の日本語講座は、正式の記録から完全に抹消されている。どうしてそんなことになったのだろうか。これは稲垣蒙志と、蒙志を支えた妻のローズの実話に基づくフィクションである。 (ブイツーソリューション出版)

Mariko Kubota
Kubota / Mariko Born in Hiroshima in 1948. After graduating from Hiroshima University, she taught social studies at a junior high school in Nagoya City for four years, and she has lived in Australia since 1975. She holds her master’s and doctoral degrees from Monash University. She has been teaching Japanese at the University of Melbourne for 17 years and she retired in 2008. After she retires, she begins writing (this data was published at the time this book was published).

久保田満里子
1948年広島生まれ。広島大学卒業後、名古屋市立の中学校で4年間社会科を教えた後、1975年よりオーストラリア在住。モナシュ大学で修士号、博士号を取得。メルボルン大学で17年間日本語教育に従事し、2008年に退職。退職後、執筆活動を始める

    はじめまして。「蒙志とローズ」拝読させて頂きました。家系図にローズと蒙志が見つかったとメルボルンの叔父から連絡があったからです。叔父がどうしてもこの本を読みたいと言っているのですが、英語版は出版されていないのでしょうか?また、英訳して頂ける方はいらっしゃらないでしょうか?どうぞよろしくお願い致します。
