This series of work, made in 2022, is now being shown in Queensland for the first time, and features a series of hand-cut paper installations that connects to Elysha’s grandparents’ meeting after World War II. Elysha’s grandmother was the first Japanese war bride to come to Queensland. The series of works also features bonsai trees referenced from the Brisbane Botanic Gardens.
