Japanese language version: Michi’s Memories – The Story of a Japanese War Bride

Michi’s Memories: The story of a Japanese war bride by Dr Keiko Tamura was first published in English by Pandanus Books (Research School of Asian Studies, Australian National University) in 2001. It was the first book in English to tell the story of a Japanese war bride, Michi, who was one of the 650 Japanese war brides who arrived in Australia in the early 1950s.  Two decades later, this book was translated by the author, and is now available in Japanese language from Nashinokiya.
