Its been couple of years in planning, and finally, the interpretive board telling the plight of the Nikkei civilian internees to be erected at the Japanese War Cemetery in Cowra has arrived at the Cowra Shire Council. The board will be installed in the coming days, then unveiled officially on 9 March, 2014. It is the first public acknowledgement of its kind for Nikkei Australians.
